SCOTT HILL

I have been competing in triathlon since 2012 mainly in long distance, my knowledge in the sport from racing coupled with the coaching pathway as a British Triathlon Federation (BTF) qualified 121 coach has now put me into a position to guide others on their path to success.

Initially I was a coach for Salisbury Triathlon Club (STC) and currently in a head coach position for the Royal Air Force Triathlon Club (RAF Tri)

BIO

In my younger years I was an active team member of Strathglass Shinty Club growing up in the Highlands of Scotland and my mode of transport to visit friends was the standard kids MTB from the well know high-street store.

Joining the Royal Air Force at 18 years of age my passion for fitness only grew from general strength training, endurance fitness and mental strength. This led to achieve military awards. I have represented the RAF in triathlon and duathlon at inter-service racing and international age group (AG) level at Ironman 70.3 and 140.6 in World Championships events.

Superb fitness is required to build the body and mind in order to create total self-confidence.

Exercise is a known medicine for mental wellbeing and is something I am very passionate about.

Having completed multiple arduous courses in the military with awards for physical and mental strength I was asked to join a team on ‘The Rock Hard Challenge”

Cycling from Lands End to John O Groats with a stop to swim and climb the largest lakes and mountains in England, Wales and Scotland.

In 2014 also completed Solo LEJOG in 4.5 days raising funds for homeless veterans.

The seed was planted and I have not looked back. It has become my life and passion as I continue to race and coach. Multiple podium results, across a wide variety of distances.

Having raced the Ironman World Championships in both 140.6 and 70.3, among other races I am in a position to pass on my knowledge and guidance, structure and balance for all athletes to advance in the sport. But most of all still enjoy the sport along the way, specializing in long distance.
